Registration and Payment

Online: Please visit our website at www.VaDanceCenter.com to register online.

By Phone: Simply call the office at 703-393-1964 to register over the phone. Class space is limited; therefore, a student will not be enrolled in a class until payment for the first month’s tuition, along with the registration fee, is paid.

In-Person: Simply stop in to VDC and our office staff will help you get registered. Our office hours vary, so please contact the office to determine when we will be open for walk-in registrations. Please remember that many classes fill early, so it is recommended that registration be completed online, over the phone, or through the mail.

By Mail: Simply mail the registration form and automated credit card/debit card payment form to the mailing address on the registration form. Class space is limited; therefore, a student will not be enrolled in a class until both forms are received by the office. View the Automatic Credit Card Authorization here.

Annual Registration Fee:
New Students: A $35.00 registration fee is due upon registration for new students or a $50.00 registration fee is due upon registration for new families (more than one student).
Returning Students: A $30.00 registration fee is due upon registration for returning students or a $40.00 registration fee is due upon registration for returning families (more than one student).

Monthly Payments: All monthly tuition payments must be made by a pre-authorized Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit or debit card. If registering in person, you will need to complete an “Automated Credit Card/Debit Card Payment” form at the time of registration. This form will authorize VDC to automatically charge your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card on the 1st of each month of the current dance season. If registering online, this authorization will be included in the online registration process. This automated payment system will save you from having to worry about keeping track of payment due dates and the possibility of late fees. Summer tuition will be due in full at the time of registration. Automatic Credit Card Authorization

Advance Payment: A 5% discount is available if payment for the entire dance year is made at the time of registration.

Late Fees and Returned Check Fees

Late Fees: A late fee of $20.00 will be added to any tuition account which is paid after the due date. The only way you will be charged a late fee is if the charge is denied by your bank or credit card company and you do not get payment to us within 10 days of notice from us. If tuition falls past due by more than 30 days, your child will be asked to observe class until payment is made.

Returned Check Fee: A $25.00 fee will be charged to your account for any check which is returned by your bank for insufficient funds.

Refund & Withdrawal Policies

Refund Policy: Tuition and fees are non-refundable. Refunds will not be given for days missed due to absences, illnesses, holidays or weather-related closings. Credit may be given in the event of a medical emergency and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will not be given in the event of a pandemic or other emergency that requires VDC to convert to online/Zoom classes.

Withdrawal Policy: We require one month’s written notice from the 1st of the month to withdraw from a class or classes. If you withdraw in the middle of the month without giving notice by the 1st of the month, you will be required to pay the following month’s tuition. There is a two-month enrollment minimum for all classes and withdrawals are not accepted after March 31st for the current dance season.

VDC Policies

Attendance & Make-Up Classes: Students should contact the office if they are not going to be present in class. Classes missed by students without prior notification to the office may not be made up. If a class is missed and the student wishes to attend a make-up class, arrangements should be made in advance by contacting the office to determine the day and time of a similar class. Make-up classes must be done within the same dance season as the missed class and cannot roll over to a subsequent season.

Punctuality: Students must be regular and punctual in their class attendance. Students who arrive after the completion of warm-ups may be asked to observe that class at the discretion of the teacher. Students should be picked up within 5 minutes of the end of their class.

Cancelled Classes: Classes may be cancelled during the winter months due to the weather. However, we DO NOT follow the school closings of either Prince William County or Manassas City. An independent decision will be made prior to the start of classes and a cancellation notice will be placed on our voice mail message once the decision to close has been made. Please call the office prior to leaving your home to determine whether your class has been canceled. Classes which are canceled due to the weather may be made up as described above.

Holidays: Holidays are listed in the Calendar on this website. Classes scheduled for days on which holidays fall are accounted for in the payment schedule and therefore may not be made up. View the Calendar here.

Student Performance: Virginia Dance Center’s annual student performance will take place in June, 2024. All students are invited and encouraged to participate. Participation, however, is not mandatory. See our website page regarding recital for more details.

Coronavirus/COVID-19 & Other Pandemic or Emergency Policies

Online/Zoom Classes: In the event of a pandemic or other emergency that requires VDC to convert in-person classes to online/Zoom classes, VDC’s refund and withdrawal policies remain in effect. The same notice must be given to withdraw from a class in the event we convert classes to an online format.
