Summer Lofland began dancing at the age of seven in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. She is trained in jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and ballet, with experience in both competitive and recreational dance. While attending George Mason University, Summer minored in dance, studying dance history, contemporary, ballet, and hip hop, and was also a member of the hip hop dance team, UrbanKnowlogy101 (2021-2023). She began her teaching career in 2022 and joined the VDC team in 2023. Summer earned a Bachelor of Science in Business in 2025 and a Master of Science in Management in 2026 from George Mason University. She is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where dancers can build confidence, develop their technique, and foster a lifelong love of dance.
